Shaun is an attorney at Goldman Ismail, a national trial firm headquartered in Chicago. As a registered patent attorney, Shaun often focuses on handling cases which involve a range of complex technologies such as electrical systems, medical devices, and computer software. Previously, Shaun worked as in-house counsel for the Hewlett Packard Company, where he was awarded the Game Changers Award for his leadership in fostering talent development. Shaun graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, and earned his law degree from Georgetown, where he was student body president.
Shaun serves as a committee leader for the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO). He was named a National Rising Star by Managing IP (MIP) and Promising Professional by the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE). Shaun is also a frequent speaker and author on patent law issues, and he serves on the boards of multiple Chicago legal organizations.
Shaun’s community work includes mentoring Chicago Scholars and serving on the Chicago Scholars Associate Board. Shaun is also active on the Illinois Junior Board of the Alzheimer’s Association, dedicated to care and research for Alzheimer’s disease, and on the Chicago Council for the American Writers Museum. In his spare time, Shaun enjoys exercising, [watching] sports, and reading obscure Wikipedia articles.
