Kyle Palazzolo

Undergraduate Degree: Aquinas College, '05

Fun fact: I do bedside magic for hospitalized young people through an organization called Open Heart Magic. As a volunteer magician, we do magic and teach hospitalized young people how to do magic tricks on their own.

Kyle is Senior Counsel at Salvatore Prescott & Porter, PLLC, where he works on a range of legal issues. From complex internal investigations to cutting-edge impact litigation on behalf of transgender students, Kyle provides passionate advocacy and thoughtful client service. Indeed, his dedication to those in need and commitment to the community have earned him recognition and awards for public service. 

Before joining Salvatore Prescott & Porter, PLLC, Kyle worked at Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund. There, he served the LGBT community and people living with HIV as counsel in federal and state courts on issues including: marriage equality, workplace discrimination, access to health care, rights of same-sex parents, conditions of confinement for incarcerated people, and housing discrimination for older adults. Kyle began his career at Jenner & Block LLP, where he focused on complex commercial litigation and class actions and managed a diverse pro bono docket. 

Kyle graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as Executive Editor of the Michigan Journal of Race & Law. He earned his bachelor’s degree cum laude in Communication from Aquinas College. 

Kyle has been a mentor with Chicago Scholars since 2014. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Open Heart Magic and on the Alumni Network Leadership Council for the Public Interest Law Initiative.
