Norma is an attorney in the Chicago office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., where she assists management in a variety of litigation and counseling matters involving traditional labor and employment law. Norma’s practice includes administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; labor bargaining disputes; discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters; and violation of wage and hour and wage payment laws. 

Norma has been recognized as an Illinois Rising Star since 2016, a distinction awarded to attorneys under the age of 40 based on peer recognition and professional achievement. Norma has served on the associate board for Latinos Progresando and CASA of Cook County. She has recently served as a writing coach for the Posse Foundation and the Legal Prep College Essay Writing Workshop as well as the LAF DACA project. She volunteers as a court appointed special advocate for CASA, representing children in abuse and neglect cases in juvenile court, and is a career coach for Chicago Scholars.
