VP, Asset Manager, PPM
Summary of Role
The VP, Asset Manager in the Commercial Real Estate group oversees the performance of all structured and underperforming loans to ensure the risk associated with these loans is fully monitored and managed. The Asset Manager works closely with the Loan Production, Loan Servicing, Legal and Closing, and Portfolio Analytics teams from loan closing through loan maturity.
Role Responsibilities

Oversee general loan surveillance and loan risk evaluation.

Address any issues with commercial mortgage loans (CMLs), including loan extensions, loan modifications, and cash management proceedings.

Acquire updated MAI appraisals and Broker opinions of value (BOV), as necessary.

Oversee the process by which a client would take ownership of a property, either through a foreclosure proceeding or deed-in-lieu of foreclosure.

Act as the point person with property management and leasing firms for any client real estate owned (REO) property.

Lead quarterly surveillance meetings for the core and structured CML portfolios and assist in the preparation of materials for those meetings.

Handle key CML-related communications with clients and co-lenders.

Oversee the annual valuation process for every client CML.

Oversee the preparation of CML workout strategies and communication among all involved parties in a loan.
Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Real Estate required. Advanced education or certification preferred.

8+ years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, loan workouts, loan servicing, or related discipline required.
Desired Skills & Experience

Strong Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency with Excel.

Experience with CoStar is a plus.

Fluency with all commercial property types including retail, office, industrial, multi-family, self-storage, lab storage, etc.

Knowledge of database platforms.
