VOLUNTEER AT NEW SCHOLAR ORIENTATION 2019

June 8 - June 9 2019 | Loyola University, Damen Student CenteR

Newly admitted students and their parents attend the New Scholar Orientation each June before their senior year of high school.  The day-long event has informational sessions for parents and Scholar workshops to equip Scholars with the tools they need to succeed in the program. Scholars also meet their adult Mentors and the other Scholars in their Launch cohort. 

Sign up for a shift

Volunteers will help support the event in various ways in shifts of 2.5 - 3.25 hours. Please see the position description and time slots below.

First select a position under your preferred day and then click your preferred time slot. You are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts.

Sunday, June 9

Registration and Check-In Support

Assist with event registration, check-in, material distribution, and general logistics. 

7:00 - 9:30 a.m. (2.5 hours)

10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (2.5 hours)

Afternoon Activity Facilitator

Help with our interactive afternoon session teaching our Scholars and Mentors the Chicago Scholars Way, our core values. Each of the 6 core values will have an activity that volunteers will help facilitate! 

12:00 - 2:00 p.m. (2 hours)

1:15 - 4:30 p.m. (3.25 hours)
