new scholar orientation

Newly admitted students and their parents come together for the New Scholar Orientation each June before their senior year of high school.  The day-long event has informational sessions for parents and Scholar workshops designed to equip Scholars with the tools they will need to succeed in the program.

Scholars also meet their adult Mentors and the other Scholars in their cohort, with whom they will be working with for the remainder of the Launch program.  These cohorts of 6-7 students and 2-3 mentors form a primary support base for Scholars as they select their top choice colleges and universities, complete applications, interview at Onsite and eventually enroll in a school of their choice.
