With our Class of 2031 starting their Chicago Scholars journey, we have several upcoming opportunities for our community to support our Scholars over the summer months! Check them out below:
Volunteer at Writing Labs, July 14 – September 15
We host several writing labs during the summer and fall for our first-year Scholars. Whether Scholars have drafted essays or are still brainstorming, volunteers will meet them where they are to get them prepared to create their best essays to hit submit.
This instructional period will help scholars apply a new perspective to their writing process, edit amongst peers and CS partners, while also giving them a roadmap on how to effectively continue editing their unique personal essays after they leave.
Volunteer at Interview Labs, October 13 – October 15
As we prepare for Onsite at the end of October, we want to give Scholars a space to practice their interview skills before they meet with the Admissions Representatives from our partner universities.
Come out to Interview Labs, where you can volunteer to guide Scholars through practice interviews and give feedback so they’ll feel fully prepared for their college interviews!
