TIAA/Nuveen Scholarship

The TIAA/Nuveen Scholarship provides financial support and potential access to career development opportunities for young Chicagoans who are pursuing a 4-year degree exploring a career within the financial services industry (including Human Resources (HR), Legal, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology (IT), Finance, etc.).

Award of $1,250 per year for four years

ALLIANCE FOR WOMEN IN MEDIA SCHOLARSHIPS

Eligibility

  • Recognizing and supporting future generations of women in media is as important as recognizing current achievements. The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation gives students starting their careers nearly $20,000 in scholarships annually.

    We are proud to provide deserving young women the opportunity to complete their education and meet their full potential.

MANN LAKE BEEKEEPING SCHOLARSHIP

Award: $1,000

Academic Level: Graduate students

Field of Study: Apiology, Agriculture, Entomology, or Environmental Studies

Eligibility

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa

  • Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an accredited U.S. college or university

  • Must be a student/enrollee of any of the following: entomology program, major in agriculture & environmental sciences, or other related studies.

R&D SYSTEMS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Award: $1,500 per semester for one year

Academic Level: Graduate students

Field of Study: Science related fields

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have a major declared in a science related field (Life Science, Medical Science, Health Science)

  • Open to all levels of education above high school.

  • Open for students studying in a college/university within the US, Canada, and European Countries only.

  • Enrolled or accepted for enrollment at time of application (baccalaureate, graduate, associate degree, or diploma).

STROMBERG’S CHICKEN SCHOLARSHIP

Award: $1,000

Academic Level: College students

Field of Study: Culinary Arts/Agricultural Sciences

Eligibility

  • Must be 18 years old or older.

  • Must be a permanent legal U.S. resident physically residing in the fifty United States of America or a holder of a valid student visa

  • Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in agricultural sciences and other related studies.

Eligibility

  • Must have a high-school degree.

  • Must be from a low income household earning a combined income that is less than $45,000.00 a year.

  • Must be in pursuit of an undergraduate degree at a college or university, or be in pursuit of a certification from a trade school and/or post–secondary education.

WOMEN IN AEROSPACE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Award: Up to $5,000

Academic Level: College Juniors and Seniors

Field of Study: Engineering, Math, or Science

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the WIA Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must be interested in pursuing a career in the aerospace field and be a rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math or science.

  • An applicant must have completed at least two and a half academic years of full-time college work at the time of application and must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States or its territories, and plan to be enrolled in the subsequent academic year.

  • Each applicant must have a college grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Applicants must be female, and a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Award: $1,000

Academic Level: High school senior

Field of Study: Not Specified

Eligibility

  • Be a minority (e.g. African American, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific American or Alaska Native.

  • Be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award.

  • Plan to attend an accredited college or university within the United States.

  • Must be a permanent US Citizen.

  • Must hold a high school Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Must be enrolled as a full time student during the Fall Academic Semester of the award.

Eligibility

  • Must currently be a female high-school senior/college freshman.

  • Must be from a low income household earning a combined income that is less than $45,000.00 a year.

  • Must be in pursuit of an undergraduate degree at a college or university.

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in one of the areas listed below:

    • Applied Arts (Creative Literature/Writing, Decorative Art, Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Industrial Design)

    • Cinematic Arts (Animation, Audio/Sound, Film-Making)

    • Performing Arts (Dance, Music, Step, Theater)

    • Visual Arts (Animation, Architecture, Audio/Sound, Ceramics, Computer Art, Crafts, Design, Drawing, Filmmaking, Illustration, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Video, Visual Communications)
